About the use of GenAI
AgroPS permits the limited and responsible use of generative AI tools solely as a practical aid and never as a substitute for the intellectual, methodological, ethical, or editorial responsibility of those involved in the publication process.
Authors: may use GenAI tools for linguistic support, writing improvement, preliminary organization of ideas, assisted translation, or formatting assistance. Use must be disclosed when the tool has contributed to drafting, summarizing, substantially translating, generating tables, figures, code, or content that forms part of the manuscript.
Authors: It is not permitted to use GenAI to fabricate data, results, citations, references, analyses, misleading scientific images, ethical opinions, fictitious authorship, or responses to reviewers that conceal substantial intervention by the tool.
Authors: Full responsibility for accuracy, originality, biases, legality, permissions, source traceability, and methodological consistency rests exclusively with the human authors. GenAI tools cannot be listed as authors.
Reviewers: Do not upload manuscripts, tables, figures, data, appendices, reports, or editorial communications to external AI tools that do not guarantee full confidentiality. Peer review is confidential and cannot be delegated to GenAI.
Editors: may use support tools for low-risk administrative or linguistic tasks, but not to delegate editorial decisions or to expose manuscripts or review reports to external systems without guarantees of privacy and security.
Mandatory declaration: When the use of GenAI is permitted, the corresponding author must include a section titled “Declaration on the Use of Generative AI” at the end of the manuscript, specifying the tool, version (if applicable), and specific purpose of use.
Non-compliance: Failure to include a mandatory statement, misleading use of GenAI, or compromise of confidentiality may result in editorial rejection, a request for clarification, correction, institutional notification, or retraction, depending on the severity.
