Data sharing, reproducibility, and ethical oversight

AgroPS promotes the responsible sharing of data, materials, protocols, and code whenever it is legally, ethically, and technically feasible.
All manuscripts must include a data availability statement indicating: open access, availability upon reasonable request, restrictions due to confidentiality, ethical considerations, or intellectual property, or not applicable.
When the study generates datasets, curated databases, instruments, scripts, models, or materials relevant to reproducing results, authors must deposit them in a reliable repository or justify why they cannot be made open access.
Acceptable exceptions include protection of personal data, confidentiality agreements, sensitive information, biosafety, legal restrictions, or third-party rights.
Studies involving human subjects, animals, biological samples, sensitive data, or interventions must present ethical approval issued by the competent authority and, where applicable, evidence of informed consent.
The journal may request primary data, protocols, ethical opinions, or supplementary materials during the review process or after publication if there are reasonable doubts regarding reproducibility or integrity.
