Author Guidelines

Objectives and Scope

AgroPS publishes original, review, and applied research manuscripts that fall within its stated scope. Submitted works must make a clear academic contribution and demonstrate methodological rigor.

Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts original articles, review articles, short communications, editorials, and letters to the editor.

Language

Manuscripts may be submitted in English or Spanish, both of which are accepted by the journal; however, titles, abstracts, and keywords must be available in English to ensure international visibility.

Submission Requirements

All manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere. Authors must submit the manuscript file, the title page, the conflict of interest statement, the authors’ contribution statement, the funding statement, ethical approval where applicable, and the data availability statement.

Manuscript Structure

A typical original article should include: title, abstract, keywords, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusions, funding, acknowledgments (if applicable), conflict of interest statement, author contributions, data availability statement, references, tables, and figures.

Ethics and Integrity

Research involving human subjects, animals, personal data, or sensitive materials must include the appropriate ethical approval and, where necessary, informed consent. The journal adheres to its policies on publication ethics, misconduct, conflicts of interest, complaints and appeals, and post-publication corrections.

Peer Review

AgroPS employs the double-blind peer review model described on its website. Manuscripts undergo editorial screening prior to external review. Editorial decisions may be: rejection, major revision, minor revision, or acceptance.

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be numbered sequentially, include clear titles or captions, and be submitted in editable and/or high-resolution formats as required by the journal. Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions when using third-party material.

References and DOI

References must consistently follow the APA 7th edition citation style adopted by the journal. Authors must include DOI information whenever available.

Copyright, License, and Open Access

The journal must clearly indicate the copyright holder, license terms, and conditions for reuse on the website and in the files of published articles.

Aquellos autores/as que tengan publicaciones con esta revista, aceptan los términos siguientes:

  1. Los autores/as conservarán sus derechos de autor y garantizarán a la revista el derecho de primera publicación de su obra, el cuál estará simultáneamente sujeto a la Licencia de reconocimiento de Creative Commons. Por tanto: 

    Usted es libre de:

    • Adaptar — remezclar, transformar y construir a partir del material
    • La licenciante no puede revocar estas libertades en tanto usted siga los términos de la licencia

    Bajo los siguientes términos:

    • Atribución — Usted debe dar crédito de manera adecuada, brindar un enlace a la licencia, e indicar si se han realizado cambios. Puede hacerlo en cualquier forma razonable, pero no de forma tal que sugiera que usted o su uso tienen el apoyo de la licenciante.

    • No Comercial — Usted no puede hacer uso del material con propósitos comerciales.

  2. Los autores/as podrán adoptar otros acuerdos de licencia no exclusiva de distribución de la versión de la obra publicada (p. ej.: depositarla en un archivo telemático institucional o publicarla en un volumen monográfico) siempre que se indique la publicación inicial en esta revista.
  3. Se permite y recomienda a los autores/as difundir su obra a través de Internet (p. ej.: en archivos telemáticos institucionales o en su página web) antes y durante el proceso de envío, lo cual puede producir intercambios interesantes y aumentar las citas de la obra publicada.
