INTRODUCTION
The introduction should contextualize the study within the relevant theoretical and practical framework, providing a well-founded and updated background. The research problem should be clearly stated, justifying its scientific relevance and impact. In addition, the general and specific objectives should be defined, as well as the hypothesis when appropriate. It is recommended to avoid the inclusion of unnecessary data or results of the study. Citing appropriately the research work of other authors.
MATERIAL AND METHODS
It is written in the past tense, accurately describing the methodology used to ensure the replicability of the study. The research design (experimental, observational, descriptive, among others), the geographical location of the study, the characteristics of the setting, the population and the sample size, as well as the selection criteria as appropriate, should be specified. In addition, the data collection procedures, the instruments and tools used, the statistical analysis methods and the software programs employed should be detailed. Any omission that would prevent validation of the results should be avoided.
RESULTS
The results should be presented in an objective, clear and concise manner, avoiding subjective interpretations. It is recommended that quantitative data be presented in tables and figures, which should be duly numbered and titled, preceded by a brief description of the data.
Tables should not duplicate information that is already in the form of figures. They can have a column width (8 cm) or two columns (16 cm) and their length cannot exceed 25 cm. They should be included at the end of the manuscript and should be numbered in Arabic numerals. In the text they should always be cited in full (e.g., Observing Table 2... or, the results (Table 2) have no differences...) and never in abbreviated form (Tab. 2 or Tab. 2). Table legends should be presented in the same language as the manuscript. Vertical lines should not be used and the headings of each column should be brief.
Figures should be included after the tables. They should be numbered in Arabic with explanatory text at the bottom. They should be cited in the same way as tables. Figures that are images should have a minimum quality of 300 ppi and be sent in JPG format. Authors should ensure that the originals have the necessary font size and line thickness to be interpretable and legible when reduced. Figures that are graphical expressions of data should be sent in Excel format or in the format in which the graph was created. Figures will not be accepted.
Important to note:
All units of measurement within the manuscript should be expressed according to the International System of Units (SI guide/ guide si).
If the manuscript includes more than 7 figures and/or tables, all of them will be published as supplementary material.
Use the comma (,) to separate decimals, only in case the manuscript is written entirely in English use the period (.). the period also applies to the abstract.
Titles and subtitles should not have a period.
DISCUSSION
This section should present and interpret the results obtained, relate what was observed with what is known in the theories, specify the significance and possible implications of the knowledge obtained, and place emphasis on identifying the limitations of the study and suggesting lines of future research. The following should be avoided: 1) useless repetition of the data presented in the results, 2) making only a brief review of the bibliographic references added to reformulations of the results and 3) putting forward hypotheses that are not supported by the results of the work.
CONCLUSIONS
Synthesize the most relevant findings of the study, responding directly to the stated objectives. The scientific and practical impact of the research should be emphasized, avoiding the introduction of new information or bibliographic references. It is recommended that they be concise, precise and aligned with the results obtained.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS (Optional)
Acknowledgements to public and/or private entities that have provided funding (project number, etc.). It is recommended that the author/s specify the source of research funding. Priority will be given to work supported by national and international competitive projects. Researchers who provided support but are not co-authors, among others. This section is placed after the CONCLUSIONS section.
CONFLICT OF INTERESTS (Required)
Disclose all relationships or interests that may inappropriately influence the interpretation of the results. For example, financial interests (membership, employment, consultancies, fees, grants or other funds) and non-financial interests (such as personal or professional relationships, affiliations, personal beliefs) among others. Authors should explain the role of the sponsors of the research at any stage. If there is no conflict of interest, write “The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest”. This section should be placed after the section on ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS.
ETHICAL APPROVAL
This section should be included if the type of research requires it. The authors must indicate the national or international institutional guidelines for animal experimentation, care and use of animals. This section is placed after the CONFLICT OF INTEREST section.
SAMPLING AND STUDY PERMITS
This section should be included if the type of research requires it. It is recommended that the authors disclose the permissions obtained for the development of the research. This section should be placed after the ETHICAL APPROVAL section (if applicable) or the CONFLICT OF INTEREST section.
FUNDING INFORMATION (Optional)
This section is voluntary, but highly recommended. This section should identify the source of funding for the research, or if the study was funded by the authors.
AUTHOR CONTRIBUTION (Mandatory)
In this section, the author should use the CRediT taxonomy. To determine the authors' contribution:
For example: Conceptualization; Author AA1 *, Author BB2 , Author CC3; Methodology: Author BB2 , Author CC3; Validation: Author BB2; Formal analysis: Author AA1....
BIBLIOGRAPHICAL REFERENCES
They will be written following the citation style adopted by the Revista de Investigación de Agroproducción Sustentable based on the APA Standards Formats 7th edition. In addition, all sources cited in the text should be included in the reference list and vice versa. The inclusion of references that have not been verified should be avoided. It is also important not to cite web pages that are not relevant or whose content has not been peer-reviewed, as well as to refrain from citing theses that are not relevant or verified.
